Granite and Marble Worktops, Flooring and Cladding
Natural stone forgives no mistakes — cut a seam wrong once and the veining never lines up again.
- Digital Templating & Factory CNC Cutting
- Hand-Matched Veining (Bookmatch)
- Full-Contact, Void-Free Mounting
- Delivered in 2–10 Days by Area

From kitchen counters to floor cladding, from stair treads to wall panels, granite and marble each demand a different thickness and mounting logic. At EMC Decor we start with a template — digital measurement for kitchen counters — the stone is cut to it at the factory, and the veining is hand-matched at every seam (bookmatch) so no joint is visible at eye level.
For floors and stairs, the slab sits on full-contact screed with no voids left underneath — voids are what cause cracking over time. Joints are filled with colour-matched epoxy, and the surface is finished polished, honed or matte as requested. Timelines run 2–10 days depending on area and cutting complexity.

The Challenges You Face, Our Fix
RISK 01: Veining pattern not lining up at the counter seam
SOLUTION: We plan the slab for bookmatching at the templating stage and cut the seam tested at eye level.
RISK 02: Voids under floor or stair slabs cracking over time
SOLUTION: We set the slab on screed with full, void-free contact and check for hollows with a tap test after installation.
RISK 03: Marble floors dulling and staining over time
SOLUTION: We apply a protective impregnating sealer after installation and give written maintenance-interval guidance for porous stone.

RESULTS OF OUR WORK
Process
Templating & Measurement
A digital or physical template is taken, and veining layout is planned on the slab.
Duration: 1 day
Factory Cutting
The stone is CNC-cut to the template; edge profiles (chamfer, bullnose, etc.) are machined.
Duration: 1–4 days
Installation
The substrate is prepared, and the stone is set with full, void-free contact.
Duration: 1–3 days
Grouting & Polishing
Colour-matched epoxy grout is applied, and the surface is polished or finished to the requested texture.
Duration: 1 day
Granite and marble are priced per m², based on stone class, thickness and cutting complexity.
Get a Project EstimateFrequently Asked Questions
Granite or marble — which suits a kitchen counter better?
Granite resists scratches and stains better and suits heavy-use kitchens; marble offers richer veining but is more porous, so it needs regular sealing and care.
Are the seams visible after installation?
With correct bookmatching and colour-matched epoxy grout, seams are nearly invisible at eye level — this is planned at the templating stage, not fixed afterwards.
Can you re-polish an old marble floor?
Yes — crystallisation and abrasive polishing removes most surface dullness, scratches and staining, restoring a finish close to the original shine without replacing the stone.
What does the warranty cover?
The scope and duration of cover for workmanship and grout are stated in the written quotation and contract. Natural colour and veining variations are characteristics of the stone rather than installation defects.
